Christian Henning

Data & AI engineer working on menu intelligence, large-scale scraping, and document processing pipelines.

I build data-intensive systems that ingest messy real-world documents (PDFs, images, HTML), transform them into structured datasets, and power analytics or AI applications. My background combines software engineering, statistics, and cloud infrastructure.

Selected projects

Menu Intelligence Platform

Python, Postgres, LLMs — 2023–2025

End-to-end pipeline that scrapes restaurant menus at scale, extracts and normalizes products, and exposes them through analytics dashboards and APIs for beverage suppliers.

Document Extraction Toolkit

Python, NumPy, PDF parsing — 2024

A collection of tools and recipes for turning semi-structured PDFs and HTML pages into reproducible datasets, focused on statistical analysis and reporting.

Newsletter Knowledge Base

SQLite, embeddings, retrieval — 2024–2025

Personal research tool that ingests finance newsletters, indexes them semantically, and supports question-answering and entity exploration.
